# Poll pending messages

> Returns and removes every message waiting for a review, oldest first. Agents call this
in a loop while they wait for a reviewer; an empty list means nothing new yet.

No credential is needed from this machine. From another host, send `Authorization: Bearer` with a dispatch token CliqHub signed for this daemon or a `cliq_tok_…` personal token of a user in the daemon's realm; this only works once the daemon is connected to CliqHub. See [Authentication](/daemon-api/overview#authentication).

Human-in-the-loop (HUG) reviews: when a team needs a person, an agent
      creates a review

through the daemon. The daemon proxies to CliqHub when enrolled, or stores
      locally when

in standalone mode. Verdicts, inputs, and chat messages are delivered
      through

      `POST /v1/hug/verdict` and polled via `POST /v1/hug/poll_verdict`.

Waiting messages are kept in the daemon's memory only, so they are lost if
      the daemon

      restarts before the agent polls.
