# Logging

> Daemon log, per-run log files, Hub #logs mirroring, and agent ctx.log.

Operator-visible files (default root `~/.cliqrc`):

Change the directory with `CLIQ_DAEMON_LOG_DIR` or the `daemon.log_dir` setting. A run log rolls over at 10 MB and keeps the last 3 files.

cliq logs -f              # follow the latest run, then each new one

**Hub run `#logs`** fill when `hub_connect.sync_logs` is `true` (the default). Turn it off with `cliq settings set hub_connect.sync_logs false`. Local run files are always written. Runs of a team that is not on the realm's team list stay on the machine until the team is added — see [How teams get installed](/cliqd#how-teams-get-installed).

**Agents:** use `ctx.log.info|warn|error` for run-trail milestones; use SDK `get_logger` for process start failures — not bare `console.error`.

**Verbosity:**

```

`CLIQ_DAEMON_LOG_LEVEL` overrides `logging.level` for one cliqd process.
