# Scopes

> Package namespaces (@acme/…) for teams on CliqHub.

A **scope** is a package namespace on CliqHub — for example `@acme` or `@cliq`. Teams publish and install under a scope: `@acme/my-team`.

When running locally with `cliqd --no-login`, teams installed from directories use the `@local` scope.

## Managing scopes

Scopes are managed through the CliqHub web UI or the Hub API. Each organization gets a default scope matching its slug.

| Endpoint | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `POST /v1/scopes/get` | List namespaces (`{ "mine": true }` for yours) |
| `POST /v1/scopes/new` | Create a namespace |
| `POST /v1/scopes/update` | Update catalog entry |
| `POST /v1/scopes/delete` | Delete a namespace |
| `POST /v1/scopes/add_user` | Add a member to a scope |
| `POST /v1/scopes/remove_user` | Remove a member from a scope |

Scope membership controls who can **publish** teams under that namespace. Installing a published team does not require scope membership.
